On loin girdling, and freedom…

25 Feb

– 2 Corinthians 3:17 –

– “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” –

I am lost in the Old Testament… I did not know that God Spoke not only to Moses but was heard also by all of Israel gathered at the foot of Mt. Sinai, and that all heard the 10 Commandments delivered by the voice of God itself, and that it was an event – like a rock star, God creates a ring around his presence on the Mountain, and so awesome and so Holy that I am afraid and there is no approach in my Sordidness and even the people of Jacob – Israel – are asked to spend two days to consecrate themselves and no sex.

And so this thing about righteousness and holiness – and then Freedom in Spirit.

This Bible walk…I am always aware of the contradictions – I…. Can’t love what God is doing to us as Human Beings today….or perhaps what we are doing to God – and this is a problem with all Religion, and sometimes, when I look up and see ‘fellow Christians’ or ‘fellow Brahma Kumars’ or fellow……I want to run away screaming, so selfish and stupid and full of mercilessness and full of righteousness, I want nothing to do with it…..

And then there’s my relationship with God, who calls me back and says don’t listen… Be with me – it’s alright, break the rules, you needn’t girdle your loins, you needn’t fear Muslims, you needn’t condemn anyone, certainly not yourself, leave it, be free, hold yourself to the Spirit and carry on.

Be good.
