– Psalms 9:16 –
“The LORD is known by his Justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.”
– Psalms 10:18 –
“… defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the Earth, may terrify no more.”
A lot of people tell me they are reading Psalms – when things in their lives are not going well.
It’s such an old book and the wishes therein for the fate of the wicked are quite harsh – far from love your enemies.
I’ve been walking now concentrated for about a decade and the hardest thing to deal with had become the seeming victory of evil of all sorts over people’s lives.
It seems everywhere I look, there are awful things happening to people who are intent in my eyes – and it hurts.
Palestine continues to great on me. Muslims in Myanmar, women killed by husbands.
God promises victory in the end.
Sometimes I wonder how he makes good in the end all the suffering of life.
What happened to this good Earth? What happened that we are born so many of us with nothing and so few work everything?
I’d like to be rich. Overwhelmingly so.
What is ‘…seek ye first the kingdom of God…’? Can God restore abundance of good to destroyed lives without destroying the lives of the wicked?
